Oley Valley School Board Candidates 2023!
Ben Raker
Raker earned his BSED at Kutztown UV and MarJon University in Devon, UK, and was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society in History. He taught British and European history in England, and World Cultures, American History, and Civics in the US for many years.
Mary Harris
Harris received her Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Kutztown University. While pursuing Professional Development, Harris acquired her Master’s Equivalency. She taught at Reading High School and gained classroom experience as well as her permanent teaching certificate.
Candice Corle
Corle earned her MBA at Ashford/ University of Arizona Global with an emphasis in project management. She has spent the last 10 years reshaping the way companies manage business operations, deploying a center of excellence across 4 organizations and developed many project and program managers into executives.
Sharon Kershner
Kershner received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Messiah College. For 20 years she served as the treasurer of a non-profit educational organization where she taught elementary school writing classes and high school personal finance classes. Sharon is proficient in evaluating curriculum and preparing lesson plans.
Jamie Freed
Freed is a graduate from Lehigh University with a BS in Computer Engineering. Jamie has worked as a design engineer in the semiconductor industry for over 25 years. He and his wife have 15 children, with 6 graduates from Oley Valley and many to go.
